KYMC at the Touch Taiwan 2019 Exhibition
Touch Taiwan is an annual leading exhibition for the display industry. Connecting the high-tech industry’s supply chain. For the display application on OLED, Micro LED, digital signage, wearable display, automotive displays, logistics display and educational displays.2019 is KYMC’s fifth attendance to the show. This time around KYMC working together with the Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan demonstrated our capability to fabricate OLED lighting and functional substrate using the flexographic printing process.
In the OLED lighting product. Flexographic printing is applied to print out conductive and insulated grids on the transparent conductive film. The conductive grids could act as an auxiliary electrode for the electric current spreading. As result, decreasing the resistance of the transparent conductive film, to improve the luminance uniformity of the OLED lighting. During testing, it is measured that the sheet resistance on the transparent conductive film is less than 30 ohms per square. After applying the conductive grids, the resistance has gone down to 16 ohms per square.
The functional substrate is fabricated on two types of material. One was printed on glass, using the NEG G-Leaf 50 micron ultra-thin glass from Nippon Glass Co. The other was printed on PET. Two layers are printing on top of each other with a registration accuracy within 20 microns. The first layer was an Ag(silver) conductive grid with a line width of 30 microns. The second layer was an insulated grid with a line width of 100 microns. The printing speed of the process could go up to 30 meters per min. These functional substrates could then be applied to produce end products such as touch sensors, RFID tags, flexible solar panels, flexible electronic devices, and printed circuit.
KYMC is the leader in providing Roll to Roll (R2R) solution. Our printing equipment allows for an accurate multi-layer printing with a registration accuracy less than 20 microns. KYMC equipment can deliver different drying methodologies. As result, being able to work with various ink types such as solvent-based, water-based, UV and special inks. We are keen to work with and help our customers to develop innovative products and production process.
